The short version

You can use the archive without an account. We do not ask for your name, email, location or contacts. We do not sell or share information about you, and there are no ads.

What we collect

We do not collect personal information through the archive or its apps.

Our website host keeps standard technical logs, such as the pages requested, the time, browser type and an internet address. These logs are used only to keep the site running and secure, and are not used to identify you.

What stays on your device

The archive saves a few settings on your own device so it works the way you left it, such as page rotation or whether text view is on. These settings never leave your device, and you can clear them by clearing your browser or app data.

Links to other websites

Some pages link to other websites, such as borregosun.com or the resources we list. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Children

The archive is a general-audience history resource. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

If you send us something

If you email us a photo, document or story for the archive, we use your email only to reply and to credit your contribution if you would like.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
